SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Today is National Wildlife Day.
National Wildlife day spreads awareness of the species around us.
Wildlife doesn’t just exist in the country, the animals in your backyard are sharing our world.
As humans, we impact the habitats these animals need.
You can help raise awareness by volunteering to fundraise for rehabilitation services.
Learn the different needs of endangered species.
Wildlife is all around us, go on a wildlife walk and learn about the different inhabitants near you.
A great place to learn about the wildlife in our area is the Outdoor Campus or the Delbridge Museum and Zoo.
Colleen Page founded National Wildlife Day in memory of Wildlife Conservationist Steve Irwin in 2005.
