SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sen. John Thune expressed his excitement with the future of Ellsworth Air Force Base on the Senate floor today (Wed).
Thune says getting Ellsworth Air Force base ready for the B-21 bomber will be an important part of his platform moving forward.
“Ensuring that the base has the necessary resources and infrastructure to fully support the B-21 mission will be a priority of mine not just as we await the mission, but for decades to come,” Thune said.
Thune also expressed support for Barbara Barrett, the newly-confirmed head of the US Air Force. Thune said she “has had an impressive career, both inside and outside of government.”
