More importantly, they say it is a safety issue for the firefighter and the community.
If you have information about the burglary, contact the Madison Police.
Below is the Madison Fire Department’s post on Facebook:
- Sometime last evening, a firefighter’s vehicle was broken into and had numerous personal items stolen along with their firefighting helmet. We are asking the public to keep an eye out for this missing helmet as this isn’t something they could sell easily and it may get ditched somewhere. When items like this are stolen it can cause a safety issue for all citizens and then we have to replace them. They are not cheap and these individuals are just stealing from the citizens of this great community. If you have any information, please contact the Madison Police Dept. Thanks for your help.
