SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — There’s more to the story of the Sioux Falls woman who was accidentally shot in the leg by her husband.
Her family says she was pregnant, due in March, but lost the unborn baby.
Police says the husband was apparently cleaning his gun at home when it went off, sending his pregnant wife to intensive care.

Melanie Pettibone was shot in the thigh. She was pregnant with her fourth child.
Her husband, Sheldon Pettibone has been charged with negligently discharging a fireman.
