SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — If you’re looking for the yellow parking ticket boxes to pay your parking fine in Sioux Falls, you won’t find them anymore.
The City of Sioux Falls says no one uses them.
The City says getting rid of the fine boxes will save $10,000 a year.
There are still a variety of ways to pay your parking fine, including online, by phone, by mail, at some banks, at City Hall, or at the City Hall dropbox.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: Beginning on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, the City of Sioux Falls Parking Division will eliminate all yellow parking citation payment boxes located throughout downtown Sioux Falls. The City’s expenses will be reduced $10,000 annually by removal of these underutilized payment boxes.
“The introduction of online payments has reduced the use of parking citation payment boxes to less than 0.03 percent of all parking citations issued. The City will continue to offer multiple convenient payment options for citizens,” Matt Nelson, Public Parking facilities manager, said.

- · By mail with the included envelope
- · At any Sioux Falls First PREMIER Bank location
- · At the City Hall drive-up drop box located to the east of City Hall
