SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Verizon says its 5G network went live in downtown Sioux Falls Tuesday morning.
Sioux Falls joins Boston and Houston as the latest cities with active 5G Ultra Wideband. Sioux Falls is one of the first cities, of any size in the country, to get the lightning-fast system.
It was less than three weeks ago that Mayor Paul TenHaken and other VIPs joined Verizon to announce that 5G would be coming to Sioux Falls by the end of the year.
It’s here.
City officials say the cutting edge technology is a real selling point for people or businesses thinking about moving to Sioux Falls.
