The Jackrabbits and Coyotes have major November football games for two very different reasons on Saturday.
No. 4 South Dakota State hosts No. 12 Illnois State at 2 p.m. You can hear the game on three different stations in the Sioux Falls area:
KELO-AM 1320, 107. FM, and 105.1 FM.
You can watch the game on ESPN3.
The Jackrabbits (7-2) are looking to keep alive the possibility of a No. 2 national seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs until the FCS national championship game. They’ll likely need losses from both No. 2 James Madison and No. 3 Weber State. Illinois State (6-3, 3-2) is trying to keep its playoff hopes alive after a 27-10 loss to No. 7 Northern Iowa, who visits Brookings next week.

USD (3-6, 2-3) needs a win over Youngstown State (5-4, 1-4) to keep up hopes of a .500 finish. A loss will ensure a third losing mark in four seasons under Bob Nielson.
The Coyotes have lost three consecutive games in defensively dreadful fashion, giving up 42, 48, and 38 points, the latter coming in a 38-34 loss at previously winless Western Illinois.
The Penguins will be just as desperate for a victory, having lost four of their last five after opening at 4-0.
Unrest is growing for YSU coach Bo Pelini, who guided the Penguins to a national runner-up finish in his second season but has failed to win 6 games each of the last two seasons.
Kickoff in the DakotaDome is at 2 p.m.
The game will air live on Midco Sports Network and ESPN+.
In the Sioux Falls area, the game can be heard on Q-95.7 FM with a 1 p.m. pregame from the Coyote Sports Network.
