The post-practice injury report was not good news for Minnesota Vikings fans today.
All-Pro wide receiver Adam Thielen missed another practice with a hamstring injury expected to keep him out of Sunday’s game at Dallas.
Pro Bowl defensive tackle Linval Joseph was seen hobbling off the practice field on Thursday and the team listed him as having a knee injury, making his current status for Sunday questionable.
Joseph is known as one of the top run-stuffing defensive linemen in the NFL at 6’4 and 330 pounds. The Vikings have a Top 5 rushing defense but will face arguably the league’s top rusher in Ezekiel Elliott.
Possible replacements for Joseph are also hobbled. Ifeadi Odenigbo (shoulder) and Stephen Weatherly (knee) were both limited in practice on Thursday.
Cowboys’ All-pro receiver Amari Cooper missed Thursday’s practice after having an MRI on his knee. His absence would significantly limit the potency of the Dallas passing game against a Vikings secondary that is both vulnerable and banged up.
Cornerback Trae Waynes did not practice today (“ankle/not injury related”) but coach Mike Zimmer expects him to play Sunday. Michael Hughes (knee) was limited Thursday.
Safety Andrew Sendejo, signed off waivers on Wednesday a few days after the Eagles released him, did not practice due to a groin injury. Sendejo played eight seasons for the Vikings prior to this season.
Fullback C.J. Ham (ankle) was limited.
You can hear Sunday’s game ONLY in Sioux Falls on KWSN, 98.1 FM and 1230-AM.
