SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A GoFundMe campaign has been created on behalf of Mhiretab (Tab) Tsegaye, a freshman at Lincoln High School, who was involved in a fatal accident Tuesday night on I-229.
The campaign has raised nearly $19,000 in less than one day. Tsegaye was critically injured in a crash that killed a fellow classmate and teammate, Barry Grieve, Tuesday night.
At 7 p.m. tonight, there will be a vigil for the two LHS students at the Junior Football Fields by the Sanford Field House.
An official from GoFundMe.org says Tab is now fighting for his life. They say any money raised through the campaign will be used to help the family with the mounting medical bills.
