SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls in October nearly caught up with last year’s record pace for construction permits.
We’re only about $5 million behind right now.
“Are we gonna break that record of last year? Now, I’m not going to guarantee that we are….,” City Permits Chief Butch Warrington tells Kelo Radio’s It’s Your Business Show with Bill Zortman.
He can’t guarantee another record, but Warrington says he can say that 2019 will, at least, be the second-best year ever.
Through October of this year, building permits totaled $696,288,595. At the end of the same period in 2018, a record year, the number stood at $701,313,483. So, the city is gaining ground.
