SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) —
Lincoln County of South Dakota was the 19th fastest-growing county in the nation
from 2010 through 2018, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Of course, it
doesn’t hurt that Sioux Falls has been spilling over from Minnehaha County south
into Lincoln County since 1978. And the towns Harrisburg and Tea have bloomed
into suburbs. Lincoln County experienced a 31 percent increase in its population
over the time span…going from 44,828 people to 58,807. The largest growth
rates amongst the towns located solely in Lincoln County are happening in
Harrisburg, which went from 4,089 to 6,526, and Tea, whichwent from 3,806
to 5,624.
