PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Flags will be at half-staff tomorrow from sunrise to sunset for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
On December 7, 1941, Japan perpetrated a sneak attack on the U.S. Navy fleet at Pearl Harbor and other military targets. The next day, the United States declared war on Japan. On December 11, 1941, the United States declared war on Nazi Germany after they declared war on the U.S.
The order to fly the flags at half-staff comes from President Donald Trump and Governor Kristi Noem.
