PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — He’s the First Gentleman and the first man to have his inauguration outfit memorialized in the Capitol’s display today.
In introducing her husband, Governor Kristi Noem said that her husband originally did not want the black suit he wore to the 2019 Inaugural on display in the Capitol.
When the Governor asked him why not, Noem says her husband told her he only had the one suit and he liked it and did not want to give it away.
“I told him it wouldn’t be the actual suit, and then it was okay,” the Governor said.
Bryon Noem says it’s a true story and he was reluctant about his role as the ‘first’ first gentleman of South Dakota but has grown to embrace it. I think I’m the best first gentleman, ever!” he quipped.
Bryon Noem said that he was ‘humbled’ to be included in the display and honored to represent the people of South Dakota as the First Gentleman.
