SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Gas prices this Labor Day Holiday in South Dakota are, on average, 20 cents less a gallon than last year.
South Dakota AAA’s Marilyn Buskohl says this end of summer is going to be good for gas prices.
“We expect that those prices will just continue to go down because the middle of September, refineries start changing over to their winter blends.” Those blends are less expensive to produce.
So your dollar will get you a little farther along the road this holiday period, freeing up a little bit more money for food and other fun.
Buskohl wishes you a safe holiday and that means keeping your eyes on the road and off the smartphone.
One of AAA’s slogans this year is ‘Don’t Drive Intexticated.’
