The Hawkeyes, Cyclones, and Huskers are all Top 25 teams in the Associatied Press preseason poll.
Iowa is slotted No. 20 by media members all over the country. Iowa State is 21st, and Nebraska slides in at No. 24.
Minnesota received 7 votes.
As it did in the Coaches preseseason poll, the Big Ten had the most teams of any conference in the Top 25, with seven, with the only difference in the two polls being the Huskers notching No. 24 in the AP (and receiving the most votes of teams outside the coaches’ Top 25) while Northwestern was 25th in the coaches poll (fifth most votes outside AP Top 25.
