Even without the most prolific quarterback in South Dakota State and Missouri Valley Conference football history, the buzz is brewing for Jackrabbit football once again.
SDSU is ranked No. 3 nationally in the STATS media preseason poll, is picked runner-up in the MVFC by coaches and media, and is Athlon Sports’ “why not,” quasi-pick to win the national championship.
So, what’s behind the buzz? Who will be the new quarterback? What dynamics will change without Taryn Christion? What differences will we see with new coordinators on both sides of the ball?
And what does athletics director Justin Sell have to say about the football team’s attendance the first three years in the new and sparkling Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, not to mention the future of the Summit League, which is ever-changing?
Find out as KWSN’s “Sports Talk with Craig & John” broadcasts live from SDSU Media Day in Brookings from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sell, Matt Zimmer (Argus), head coach John Stiegelmeier, and a player or two will be the featured guests of the show, which may be pre-empted by the conclusion of the Sioux Falls Canaries day game.
Podcasts will be found later at kwsn.com/podcasts
