STURGIS, S.D. (KELO.com) – The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is beginning to wind down, and the latest rally report from the highway patrol reflects that.
The patrol reported four injury crashes over the past 24 hours, three of them involving serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
In one crash, a motorcycle rider lost control on I-90 west of New Underwood and flipped several times in the median. The male driver was not wearing a helmet was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
In another crash, a female passenger on a motorcycle received serious injuries after a crash south of Keystone on Highway 16A.
And a male motorcycle driver received serious injuries after a crash on the I-90 Exit 37 off-ramp.
The patrol says there have been 42 injury crashes since Sunday with just one fatal accident so far.

In other stats, DUI arrests number 136 – ahead of 117 on this date last year. Felony drug arrests are at 90 – 34 ahead of last year.
