BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Assistant Chief Derrick Powers says an ambulance was called to the 900 block of Seventh Street in Brookings shortly before 4:00 p.m. Wednesday for an unresponsive child. Police and the ambulance responded to the scene but the three-year-old child was deceased when they arrived.Powers says the matter is under investigation.No other information is being released
