-
The event will kick-off Wednesday evening, July 24th, with a concert by cowboy comedian Kip Attaway in the Show Ring. The concert starts at 7pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, or included free with the three-day pass.
-
Educational seminars will be presented hourly by experts on various trapping methods and other related topics, in a simulated natural habitat.
-
The Kids Cave is free for all kids and their parents to experience. It is open from 10am-2pm each day. There are stations on all kinds of outdoor pursuits, trapping seminars presented by kids, and hay scramble for coins and prizes.
-
The She Side is an area for women - and others new to trapping – to learn more about it from other women.
-
Special guests Heimo and Edna Korth from the Discovery Channel show “The Last Alaskans” and world renowned bowhunter, Tom Miranda, will be at the convention all three days.
-
Trap setting contests, a skillet toss contest, awards ceremonies and a fund-raising auction round out the three-day affair.
The event is expected to draw thousands of trappers and outdoor sports enthusiasts from all across North America. With well over two hundred registered vendors and even more expected tailgaters, the event will provide multiple opportunities for attendees to stock up on supplies and search for bargains.
Admission for a single day is $10 and the three-day pass is $20. Youth 12 and under are free. Camping on the grounds is available for $40 a night with hook-ups and $25 a night for primitive sites.
