The Sioux Empire Fair—off and running even
with a bit of rain moving schedules around moves to the farm show
competitions-the entertainment—and a week full of activities designed to
reach the family.
</strong>

We’ll help with that this morning doing two
separate shows 9-10 and 10-11.

Sylvia Wolters who heads up the Pipestone
Discovery Barn share events every day this week—even while we are in her home
state of Minnesota Tuesday and Wednesday at the Minnesota Farm Fest in Morgan,
Redwood Falls.
</strong>
</p>

<strong>
The Discovery Barn attracts kids of all ages –
and magically –a number of births are scheduled and it attracts kids by the
hundreds and thousands every year.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Helping her are farm boys that are SDSU
students—Russell for the Jacks that will be working in the Discovery Barn almost
all week. Dairy herdsman—another will be one who raises pigs and both are emphatic
about education.
</strong>
</p>

<strong>
Dr,Bob Tyler from SDSU is also going to be available.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
9:20—Gary Popkes—Frontier Bank—talks financials—he’s
back and many believe he is just a big kid.
</strong>
</p>

From Ole MacDonald’s Farm—Todd Marks and Todd
Fastert share the animals and all they do. FFA brings this to life every FAIR
DAY.
</strong>
</p>

We’ll hear from Pfeifers as well.
</strong>

Farmer’s Daughter—Rebecca Christman joins us
at 9:45 and again in the 10:00 hour. We know that as Ag United’s Farmer’s
Daughter she is just a lot more than another voice on our radio shows. Her take
and understanding at fair time is amazing.
</strong>
</p>

<strong>
We’ll start our 10:00 hour with Holly – the Ag
manager for Sioux Falls Chamber. She provides the spark and spunk that was
displayed a year ago when she joined us from Houston. Today—we’ll see what
she sees and why it is important.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
You’ll hear from our Midwest Communication Farm
Reporters—Rick Shields and Sarah Heinrich around the half hour—the same place
you can catch up with the morning Commodities from Scott Varilek—Kooima and
Kaemingk Commodities—Sioux Center Iowa.
</strong>

The Starks—Roger and Travis – Howalt McDowell
and Rocky Boer—Plains Commerce Bank are regulars in our ag shows. They’ll join
us 10:20 and 10:35.

We’ll also promote our Tuesday and Wednesday
live reports from Minnesota Farm Fest in Redwood Falls/Morgan 9-11.

Christenson will give us a preview or two.

In our Tuesday Show 10-45 to 11:00 we’ll have
our first Ag Cheerleader segment with Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken, Jim
Woster and me. We’ll talk all that is important to agriculture.
</strong>

Wednesday 10:45-11:00 Governor Dennis
Daugaard, Mr. Woster and I will lead the audience right up to the Ag Thank you
luncheon that will feed 5 to 6,000.
</strong>
</p>

Friday we are back at the Sioux Empire Fair.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Our shows are available with the great
supporting staff from KELO-AM including Norm Anderson, Ashley Pfeifer and Dave
Scaturro, and Al Gilbertson – our Chief Engineer.

us the interviews with those at the Fair and the Farm Show that fit our
