<strong>
Tuesday—we shared our Monthly South Dakota
Farmers Union show—17,000 in an organization pulling together for Agriculture
and Families.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Today—we bring in Scott Vanderwall—President of
South Dakota Farm Bureau. They too are a large farm organization and we’ll
check the latest on the Farm Bill, Tariffs Talk—and local politicians take and
help at 10:07.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Tri-State Neighbor Jim Woster will be in
studio as we talk with Scott—and then Jim Peterson—for an uptick on
land-property auctions in the Brookings area. Today—Brookings is hosting a
manure session. Mr. Peterson will give us an understanding of some of the
dynamics in sales—and they kind of people stepping up.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
10:19—we’ll hear from Roger and Travis
Starks—Howalt McDowell—sponsors of IGROW.org. They were in Minnesota earlier in
the week—Nebraska is on the calendar along with South Dakota.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
They understand the importance of listening
to their clients — and when they speak we listen to them – and then form the
next question.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Around the half hour—we’ll hear from our
Midwest Communication Farm Reporters Rick Shields in the Wisconsin-Michigan
territory—and Sarah Heinrich—Mighty 790 in Fargo.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Joe Kooima has the commodities—the ups and
downs – all with a simple word on supply, demand, trade, expected crops.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
With Mr. Woster we’ll visit with Onida Farmer
Todd Jackley about the heavy rains—the drought and hail. With August 15
<sup>
th
</sup>
—it
was time for us to check.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
One important event for the area is the first
MAJOR LEAGUE PGA Event in Sioux Falls—the Sanford International coming in late
September.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
One of those working closely with Sanford—our
friends from Howalt McDowell. We talk with the Starks about Agriculture all the
time in a very positive setting.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Today—you’ll meet Lori Kiesow and Jenny Wolff—from
Howalt –why is it important—what they give—and why those in town and country
should be a part of this event that now includes Jack Nicklaus.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Last stop—–Reaves Building—Daryl Christenson.
Last week we were in central Minnesota Tuesday and Wednesday and Minnesota Farm
Fest.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Next Tuesday and Wednesday in Mitchell for
Dakota Fest. We’ll get Daryl’s take on the events—the people he talked to – and
the difference that Reaves makes to those needing a building – and not have it
be chocolate chip cookie design.
</strong>
