<strong>
Last day of July today—first day of August
tomorrow.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Yes a crossroads of sort for not only our
crops, our kids, but where we have been and where we are going.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We’ll give you a little roadmap in this It’s
YOUR Agri Business Show.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We start with Sylvia Wolters—Pipestone Discovery
Center—becoming the center stage for kids at the Sioux Empire Fair that begins
this weekend.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Sylvia has taken what they do with expecting
animals and others to the next stage. We’ll talk about that at 10:07 – getting you
ready—and sharing what she expects to create a buzz in the Pipestone Center at
the WH Lyon Fairgrounds.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We’ll look back with Cindy Heidelburger
Larson-Ag in the Classroom. Many of the kids and adults were in the crowd last
week at the AG PHD Field Day in Baltic. Yes the one the Hefty Boys putting on.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We want to know what the kids thought –how intrigued
were they with what they learned with the story of corn and how dirt made my
cheese burger.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Next Tuesday at this time—weather always
permitting—we’ll be in the Morgan/Redwood Falls range of Minnesota and
Minnesota Farm Fest. We’ll be there Tuesday and Wednesday and will include some
interesting segments with those in Agriculture in Minnesota.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We’ll visit with the State’s Commissioner of
Agriculture David Frederickson—on trip this week –yes a trade trip to Taiwan.
We’ll see him face to face and ask him what the mood is for what’s going on
with those in his states and our own.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
We’ll be with Daryl Christenson—Reaves Building
– and hear what the summer has been like as they help build what is needed for
folks in the Mid-west. Daryl will also host us two weeks later at Dakota Fest
in Mitchell. We’ll interview Daryl this morning.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
You’ll hear from our Mid-west Communication
Farm Voices around the half hour. Scott Varilek—Kooima and Kaemingk Commodities
will have the first numbers as well.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
One key for those on the farm is not only
helping those young generations understand what farming is all about — but
helping those that are seniors that want to be able to have the legal standing –and
health support to face older days in a journey.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
This morning we’ll share with legacy Legal
and Edgewood Health Care—how they work together –and can help you as you search
for ways.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Shawn Mendel is with High Points Network—he will
be one of the panelists for the South Dakota Manufacturing and Technology
Solutions Summit in Sioux Falls in September.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Mendel has become with the High Point Network
Team that acquired the VAR Division of Earth Bend, LLC just a year ago that was
based here in Sioux Falls.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
High Point Networks is a value-added reseller
(VAR) of information and technology providing solutions to both the SMB and
enterprise level markets in the upper Great Plains.
</strong>
</p>
<p>
<strong>
Shawn in addition to work closely with his teams
and customers in designing, deployment, integration, and support of IT
Solutions—travels the region educating users on their role in IT Security and
Performs IT Security Assessments to help businesses lower their risk.
</strong>
