SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls City Council met this (Tuesday) afternoon for their regular informational meeting.
Director of Finance Shawn Pritchett presented the November financial statements for the city to the councilors.
The city continues to show improvement despite the pandemic said Pritchett.
“Unemployment is currently at 3% in October after peaking at 10.5% in April of this year. This pattern aligns closely with the state in general which had an unemployment rate just slightly higher than the city of Sioux Falls at 3.3%,” said Pritchett.
South Dakota continues to have the lowest insured unemployment rate in the country.
The Council approved the November financial statements unanimously.
