Sioux Falls City Council
SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls City Council has adopted a budget of nearly $800 million for 2027.
The package includes money for a new aquarium at the Great Plains Zoo and the purchase of the Smithfield Foods location near the Falls.
Council members also agreed to replace the outfield grass of Sioux Falls Stadium with turf, if the Canaries make a long-term commitment to the city and the stadium.
Mayor Christine Erickson calls it a “fiscally conservative plan.”
