BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Authorities have identified the 19-year-old man killed in a crash in Brookings last week.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says Daten Briar Odom was driving a GMC Sierra on Interstate 29 when his vehicle was hit by a Subaru.
The GMC then rotated and struck a Ford F-350 while the Subaru was stopped on the interstate.
The Subaru was then struck by a fourth vehicle, identified as a 2020 Chevy Trax.
Odom died from his injuries, while the 38-year-old woman driving the Subaru was life flighted to a Sioux Falls hospital and treated for life-threatening injuries.
