SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – This is the first day of the new school year in the Sioux Falls Public School system.
That means extra caution is needed for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians.
Rectangular rapid flashing beacons will be used at some pedestrian crossings.
They designed to make pedestrians more visible to drivers.
Police will be patrolling and urge everyone to slow down, stay alert and be prepared for heavier traffic.
