CANTON, SD (KELO.com) — Lincoln County Commissioners are weighing costs and benefits on a busy intersection between Sioux Falls and Harrisburg.
They were presented with several options from IMEG, an engineering firm that studied the intersection.
The lowest cost option adds stop lights to the intersection at 271st and Western Avenue, but engineer Joshua Prather said that model would create problems within a few years, earning failing grades with unacceptably long delays.
Prather’s firm recommended a roundabout…the most expensive option at over $2.5 million.
