SIOUX CITY, IA (KELO.com) — The first of two suspects in the death of McKenna Wendel appears in court Monday. Wendel’s uncle, Mark Milk will make his initial court appearance in Sioux City, where he’s expected to submit a plea. The second suspect, Jon Rogness, is scheduled to make his initial appearance August 6th.
The 14-year old Sioux Falls girl’s remains were found in rural Brookings County in March. Investigators believe she died in Iowa, so the trial and court proceedings will take place in Sioux City.
