OMAHA, NE (KELO.com) — The regional farm economy is slipping further into negative territory, according to the monthly Rural Mainstreet Index from Creighton University. High input costs and low commodity prices remain as the biggest problems. Over half of the community bank CEO’s surveyed in the report say grain prices are the greatest challenge facing farmers.
