SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — At 6:48 p.m. Metro Communications received a 911 call for a garage that was on fire.
A neighbor reported flames coming from the roof.
The first arriving fire truck reported a single stall garage that was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was threatening a nearby second garage and the home. The crew was able to secure a water supply and advance hose lines to contain the fire to the building of origin.
Additional crews arrived on the scene to assist with extinguishment and overhaul. The fire was brought under control within 13 minutes of the first unit arriving on the scene. There were no occupants in the garage at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported. The garage received major damage to the entire structure. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
