SIOUX FALLS, SD, (KELO.com) — The City of Sioux Falls has a new Christmas tradition!
Tonight, for the first time ever, the Washington Pavilion held a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The 5,000 pound, 40-foot tall tree was lit with hundreds of colorful lights and speeches followed.
One speech was given by Mayor Paul TenHaken.
The Washington Pavilion hopes to do this every year to celebrate the holiday.
