SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Nearly a week after it was supposed to start, early in-person voting is getting underway across South Dakota. Ballots were held up at the printers because of late filing and challenge deadlines. Absentee voting began at the Lincoln County Courthouse Thursday morning, while Minnehaha County Auditor Leah Anderson opened the in-person voting center in Sioux Falls at noon. She said, “So, for this election, even though we’re combined with the city of Sioux Falls and Sioux Falls School District, Minnehaha County residents can vote at our Administration building on third floor, but Lincoln County residents would have to go to Canton to vote in-person absentee.” Anderson says her office also began mailing ballots that were requested by residents.
