SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Minnehaha County Commission has tentatively selected a replacement for retiring County Auditor Bob Litz.
At their meeting Tuesday, the Commission will consider naming Bennett Kyte to the position. If appointed, he would serve out the remainder of Litz’s term, which expires in March 2023.
Mr. Kyte is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and worked for Citibank for 37 years, most recently serving in senior finance leadership roles.
Litz’s retirement is effective December 31, 2020.

Sioux Falls, SD – The Minnehaha County Board of Commissioners announces their intent to consider an action at the December 1, 2020 Commission meeting to formally appoint Bennett Kyte as Minnehaha County Auditor, effective January 1, 2021.
Mr. Kyte is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and worked for Citibank for 37 years, most recently serving in senior finance leadership roles. Mr. Kyte is experienced in financial analysis and risk management, project management, technology integration, and financial operations and compliance. Volunteer roles include current service as member of the City of Sioux Falls Investment Advisory Board and a board member of the City of Sioux Falls Employees Retirement System. Mr. Kyte has also served as a board member for both the Sioux Falls Development Corporation and the South Dakota Development Corporation.
Mr. Kyte will fulfill the term of Bob Litz, who is resigning effective on December 31, 2020. The Auditor’s position is up for re-election in 2022 with the current term ending the first Monday of March, 2023.
