SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are investigating the death of a 14-year old boy caused by a gunshot. The incident took place at about 2:45 Thursday afternoon in a home near Whittier Middle School. Sergeant Cole German says the investigation had officers on the scene until about three Friday morning and is ongoing. “Officers quickly responded and attempted life-saving measures on the lone individual who had been shot. Unfortunately, ultimately a 14-year old juvenile male was declared deceased at the scene. This is an isolated incident, and there’s no threat or danger to the public.” Few details are being released because the shooting involves juveniles.
