SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The CommuniTree program is up and running in Sioux Falls. The city received a three million dollars USDA grant to plant five-thousand new trees in the public right-of-way. The trees will replace those lost to the infestation of Emerald Ash Borers. Crews will be using an assembly-line approach to prepare planting sites, deliver trees and plant them, with a final crew mulching and staking the trees and handling cleanup.
