PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The South Dakota public employee retirement system is falling behind inflation again this year for the sixth straight year. Managers expect a cost of living adjustment in 2027 of just over 1 1/2-percent. There are more than 105-thousand members in the system, which provides benefits for teachers, and most state and local public employees.
