SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Airport Screening lines are long across the nation as we hit day 41 of the partial government shutdown that leaves TSA agents unpaid, but not at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. South Dakota News Watch reports Sioux Falls is one of 20 airports across the country that uses a private company for security screenings, instead of Transportation Security Administration agents. Airport Executive Director Dan Letellier says the program is funded for the year, so screeners in Sioux Falls are being paid.
