BOX ELDER, SD (KELO.com) — The Douglas School District is preparing for major growth related to expansion at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Ellsworth will become home to the new B21 Raider Stealth bomber fleet, and thousands of airmen will be added to the base. The district is expanding with a new elementary school to serve the families of the additional airmen, and expects about 100 new students in each of the next 15 years.
