PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — State lawmakers are working on a proposal to close a loophole in South Dakota’s DUI laws. Current law has penalty provisions for a sixth DUI offense, but fails to mention a fifth offense. Brookings County States Attorney Dan Nelson says that has caused problems in sentencing.
