SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — An illegal drug shipment headed to the South Dakota Penitentiary failed to arrive – thanks to bad weather on the east coast. Court documents show an inmate and a Florida woman planned to bring K2 into the prison, but the woman couldn’t fly to Sioux Falls because of storm delays. Instead, the package was intercepted. K2 is a synthetic marijuana linked to several inmate overdose deaths last year.
