SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –Sioux Falls is considering re-starting coronavirus restrictions on local businesses as the pandemic continues to worsen in the area.
City Councilors Janet Brekke and Pat Starr are sponsoring an updated version of the so-called “no lingering” ordinance, which was passed on May 7 and repealed on May 29.
It would limit business traffic to 10 patrons in places where social distancing isn’t possible.
The ordinance faces a tough road to passage after the council voted against a mask mandate on November 10. A similar mask mandate is also back on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting.
