Sturgis, SD (KELO.com) — Officials say this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has pumped more than a million dollars into the city’s general fund. The results were announced at last week’s city council meeting. Sturgis Mayor Kevin Forrester acknowledged at the meeting “we do make money.” A city spokesperson tells KELOLAND the money is used to keep the lights on. The 2025 total surpassed 2024’s by about 100-thousand dollars.
