Former SDSU Chief of Police
Brookings, SD (KELO.com) — A spokesperson with Brookings Police says South Dakota State University Chief of Police Timothy Heaton is facing felony charges for animal cruelty and other related charges Friday. Five German Shepherds were found in uninhabitable conditions in a home. Michael Kilber is now the interim chief. Heaton was released on personal recognizance.
