Third death in 5 days in the South Dakota prison system

Springfield, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota Corrections officials are investigating another inmate death. This is the third death in five days and the 25th for this year. 60-year-old Michael Sedlmeier passed away Monday at the Mike Durfee Prison in Springfield. He was serving time for first degree manslaughter and DWI at the time of his death.
