South Dakota (KELO.com) — The wind energy revolution has propelled South Dakota to the top of the nation in renewable energy. As of last year 92% of the state’s energy is renewable. That is up by 23% from last year according to South Dakota News Watch. Iowa is second at 83% for renewable energy and Kansas third at 74%. 12,500 jobs have been created in the field.
