Sturgis residents are safe after fire crews quickly contain a blaze that broke out on a nearby hillside Sunday night. Sturgis fire crews, along with personnel from Deadwood, Vale, Whitewood and Spearfish worked to fully contain the Boulder Canyon Fire before it spread to residential areas. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
