Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — A new state law has produced an indictment against a state employee for falsifying investigative reports related to child abuse. 56-year-old Nova Collins of Spearfish faces a combined total of up to 15-years imprisonment on four felony charges, including forgery, and producing fraudulent and false evidence. Attorney General Marty Jackley says this is the first criminal case produced by a new law he supported that establishes mandatory reporting of state employee crimes. The crimes were committed earlier this year.
