Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — The U.S Transportation Department says dangerous foreign drivers are being issued licenses to operate massive 80-thousand-pound trucks over the road. South Dakota is one of the states allowing it to happen. The Dakota Scout reports South Dakota has temporarily stopped issuing Commercial Drivers Licenses to non-citizens in response to a warning from the Transportation Department. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says issuing the licenses to the foreign drivers is a direct safety threat to every family on the road.
