SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls’ forecast:
Precipitation chances have returned to the region and will continue into Tuesday for some locations.
Rain will be the main precipitation type for most locations east of the James River today with a wintry mix or snow west where colder air continues to filter in.
By Tuesday, the remaining precipitation east of I-29 should transition to snow although accumulations currently appear to be light.
Our mild temperatures of late are a thing of the past as falling temperatures are expected throughout the day with NW Iowa staying the warmest.
