SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls police are being credited with ending a dangerous parole violation that began last week in Rapid City with a shooting incident. Kenneth Norman was described as armed and dangerous by Rapid City Police. He’s accused of breaking into an East-side home and stealing a truck early Friday morning. A female in the home had been trying to stop him, and ended up being taken in the pickup. Information Officer Aaron Benson says police located the vehicle near Minnesota Avenue a short time later, and launched a drone to search for Norman, after he fled from officers.
Information Officer Sergeant Aaron Benson says good police work of establishing a perimeter and deploying the drone helped them make a quick arrest. The woman was unharmed.
